In Distant 1, Katie became Queen of Lantau and the first Sole Survivor in a 5-2 vote.
Then, in Distant 2, Donna persevered against the sands of the Valley of the Kings and came out on top in a stunning and shocking 5-2 vote.
Presently in Distant 3, Sheila, Chaz, Vince, and Thomas are fighting to become the third Sole Survivor in the frigid wasteland that is Siberia. But now...
The Celts were tribes of old who lived long ago in the forests of what is today England, and some of Ireland, France, and Wales. They fought for their land and believed in many otherworldly myths, such as black magic.
The Celts lived across most of Europe during the Iron Age. Today the Celts live in Wales, Ireland, Scotland, the Isle of Man, Cornwall and in Brittany, France. Their culture lives on in language, music, song and literature. The Celtic religion was closely tied to the natural world and they worshipped gods in sacred places like lakes, rivers, cliffs and bushes. The moon, the sun and the stars were especially important - the Celts thought that there were supernatural forces in every aspect of the natural world.
The Celts would light a fire in the middle of the roundhouse for cooking and heating. Archaeologists believe it was a gift to one of the Celtic gods or goddesses. Iron Age people would have chosen where they lived for different reasons. The chieftain and his family, soldiers and craftsmen, lived in a hillfort because they were easy to defend.
This is where 16 strangers will be lost for 39 days. Who will adapt to the new and strange environment? Will ancient magic be enough to drive them apart? Or could the mysteries of the forests aid those in need? Find out this spring, when we begin the adventure of a lifetime to find the Sole Survivor, in Survivor Distant 4: Forests of the Celts!
