In early January 2006, The Acid 9 Network began searching high and low for the perfect ensemble cast to take part in a secretive game that would have no casting calls, no interviews, and no application. A game where the entire cast was recruited and kept in the dark about the games concept.
The twelve young men and women recruited were simply told that they would each need to create an alias that they would act under for a game that would last only 30 days and nights. Anticipation and debate on what the game would entail spread far and wide as much speculation surrounded the games concept.
On January 9, 2006 the first season of Wasted Youth got underway and the 12 cast members arrived in virtual Cancun, New Mexico where they waited patiently outside of a large mansion known as Beatnik Manor.
The cast members arrived shrouded under the protection of their finely tuned alias.

Among the real faces and lives behind the twelve alias’ were some of the most controversial and high profile players in the Online Reality Gaming Community. And among these real players were both friends and enemies. Players who had past grudges and most recently it seemed that revenge was on the forefront of their minds…. However, they did not realize that they knew one another that night when they arrived at Beatnik Manor hiding behind their alias…
Until…
The twelve alias’ were informed that twelve other players were already inside Beatnik Manor. Twelve players that they knew in the most intimate of ways. Inside the Manor was their true identities!

And so the game a Wasted Youth began…
Wasted Youth is a complex and challenging competition in which every cast member plays the game not only as an alias, but also as themselves! A game in which you are granted two chances! Two chances to win and two chances to lose!
Will these players keep their secret identities hidden in order to weasel their way past the revengeful hands of those that despise them? Will they attempt to manipulate the game and one another in hopes of stabbing their friends in the back?
Leaving their morals at the door these twelve players became twenty-four. Twenty-four players competing for 30 days in a fierce game of ultimate betrayal and lies. A game where anything can happen and everything does. A game where strategy is put on hold and social distortion takes control…
This is that story… the story of twelve acquaintances forced to live two lives under one roof where tension runs high and drama will surely unfold… these are the Wasted Youth…
