Beginning in May 2006, 18 castaways from different walks of life will be stranded in the Galapagos Islands.
The Galapagos Islands are an archipelago made up of 13 main volcanic islands, 6 smaller islands, and 107 rocks and islets. The very first island is thought to have formed between 5 and 10 million years ago, as a result of tectonic activity. The youngest islands, Isabela and Fernandina, are still being formed, with the most recent volcanic eruption in 2005.
The Galapagos archipelago is politically part of Ecuador, a country in northwestern South America
The Galapagos Islands is one of the hottest places on the world. The islands are distributed around the equator, over 600 miles west of Ecuador
They are famed for their vast number of endemic species and the studies by Charles Darwin that led to his theory of natural selection.
The Galapagos Islands are also famed for their many exotic and unusal animals. Animals such as the land iguana, Galapagos penquins, sea lions and perhaps the most famous of all, the Galapagos tortoise.
How will the castaways react to the exotic animals, unbearable heat, and twist after twist? Get ready for a game of Survivor like no other! As the castaways get bombarded with twist after twist, how will they keep their game plans together?
Who will outwit, outplay and outlast all the others to become the Sole Survivor?!
Apply today and find out for yourself!
